Giving at Sanctuary is more than funding a budget, covering debts, or filling a savings account. These things are needed for Sanctuary to exist as an organization.
Giving our tithes and offerings reflects a grateful heart wanting to give back to God a portion of what He has given us; in reality it is already his. It’s a form of worship acknowledging and expressing that all we have comes from God. God loves a cheerful or “hilariously” generous person. Giving also says we aren’t afraid of lacking anything because God is our source, and we trust him. Giving is God's personal invitation to grow spiritually in trust and gratitude.
"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."
