If you are looking for a church that loves one another, loves the peoples of the world, is serious about being a New Testament church, loves the entire Word of God, and is intentional about making Jesus famous, then perhaps Sanctuary is just the right place for you! We hope you will come visit us this weekend and meet us up-close-and-personal! We will welcome you with wide-open arms!

First, committing yourself to a local church body identifies you as a follower of Christ. We come together with other believers as the Body of Christ. Many members, but one body (Ephesians 2:19, Romans 12:5). Second, identifying with a local church provides a spiritual family and moves each of us away from isolation. It provides accountability and a nurturing environment to grow.  We encourage one another daily to keep us from falling away from our faith (Ephesians 5:21). Third, identifying with a local Body of Christ gives each of us a place to discover and use our spiritual gifts in ministry. It helps us develop and strengthen our faith where God can use us to build His church (1 Cor. 12:4-27).

Additionally, as members of Christ’s body, we are His hands, His feet, His eyes, His heart. It is an incredible privilege to share in His ministry and be God’s instruments on earth (Hebrews 13:17; 20:28-29). Lastly, God desires you to be an active part of a local church. “Let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, let us not forsake the assembling of ourselves together, as some are in the habit of doing, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24-25).

1.  Express your intent. Call one of our ministerial staff or elders or walk forward at the end of the service and express your desire to be a part of this family.

2.  Attend Starting Point (SCF 101). You will be formally introduced to Sanctuary’s doctrine, core values, ministry philosophy, and ministry opportunities through Starting Point, our church orientation fellowship. It is a 101-kind-of-experience. Starting Point is a two-hour gathering taught by our senior pastor and church staff/elders. It is offered multiple times throughout the calendar year, typically on a Sunday at lunch (following the last worship service held that day). Lunch and childcare are always included. You will be offered a lot of helpful information and given an opportunity to ask any question you want! It is a great way to get to know more about who we are and how we do things.

3.  Affirm your faith in Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior and be baptized by immersion as your way of identifying with His death, burial and resurrection. You may have already taken these steps of faith along the way. If not, you can find out more about this HERE. Our ministerial staff and elders would be delighted to talk with you in more detail if you wish. Please contact any one of them personally to know how to come to Christ in faith.

4. Celebrate your commitment to Christ and His Church! Be recognized in a weekend worship service and allow the church to celebrate this step in your ongoing journey of faith and service!
